PSQ Technologies and TANDBERG Television won the contract for IRIB’s DVB-T headend

PSQ Technologies and TANDBERG Television won the contract for two DVB-T headends for Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB). These headends will be the first in a series of Digital Terrestrial Transmission (DTT) installations in Iran.

IRIB, the government owned Broadcasting Corporation, make great leap forward by introducing DVB-T technology to distribute television signals to the public in Tehran. PSQ Technologies Inc. has helped pave the way for the national broadcaster to reach another important milestone. Through this project, IRIB will implement the most efficient television distribution system providing public with high quality, diverse programming. This will be a free-to-air digital TV service, transmitting programming in MPEG-4 across the country.
